I heard the name Sister Flor so many times from my sister and friends at STC that sometimes I felt she was my teacher/Principal. Sister Flor was the iconic Principal of St. Teresa's Convent Elementary School probably from the late 60s and the mid 70s. Please correct me if my estimation is wrong. Sister Flor was so revered at STC that I suspect she instilled more fear in the girls than anything else. In fact, there was a time I didn't realize her name was Sister Flor for Florentino. I thought the girls were saying "Sister Flog" for the "gentle spanking" (LOL) they would get from her whenever they stepped out of line. Whatever my impression, I know this much: Sister Flor's students remember her with affection and love.

Please share your memories of Sister Flor with us in the comments section.

A shot of STC campus during the early years. Can someone tell us when this picture was taken?

Archbishop Francis Carroll is seen here with Sister Elfriede and parishioners in front of the Catholic Church. If you know, please tell us who else is in the picture and when it was taken.
