Is this picture a gem or what? This is Teacher Ben and her 3rd Grade Class at St. Teresa's Convent in 1972. Just seeing the posture of these girls tells you Teacher Ben was no joke...LOL. Her girls are standing straight with hands to their side, while others sit with feet together and hands on their lap. They look as though they just completed a stint at a finishing school that teaches girls social graces. So who are these girls? They are none other than Friskies Class of 1981, and you know them. Some of them pictured here are: Valena Jones, Varnelle Marshall, Enid-Mai Jones, Tarloh Sebwe, Maima Gorgla, Hannah Martin, and Alberta Williams. Can you find them in this picture. Better yet, can you name the rest of the girls? Use the comments section to tell us the names we are missing.
There was nothing more exciting to St. Patrick's boys than Convent's gala day. To watch these girls strut their stuff throughout the heart of the city and then make their way to walls of St. Patrick's was nostalgic. This picture features Friskies Class of 1978 drilling through the streets of Monrovia on their gala day in 1978. They are stunning in their beautiful African outfits. We recognize of few members in this picture, including Agnes Elliott, Sanadeh Koffa and Nukey Harding. If you recognize anyone else in this picture, please let us know by using the comments section to tell us.
Who are these "smaw smaw" Friskies posing with Class of '86 senior Juliana Koffa? That cutie on the right is none other than Safiatu Lynch, affectionately known as Pumpkin. We suspect the photographer mistakenly cut off the body of Sanghai Lynch and left us with just her forehead. Anyhoo....we'll take what we can get. Were there smartphones in 1986? LOL!!!
