Sports Commission 1981: Blue Moon! Who in high school around Monrovia n the 70's and 80's didn't recognize that play call. Our Late Great Coach, Alexander Kojo Anderson aka Psycho, pictured here coaching a game in 1981, ran Blue Moon consistently until it wore down opponents. Blue Moon came with a full complement of options that included high-low picks, elbow jumpers, baseline cuts, point guard sets, wing cuts, corner shots etc. etc. Both Saints and Friskies ran Blue Moon drills until it became second nature. Psycho was a master of the game. He understood it's nuances, when to make adjustments, and how to manage and teach young players. And under the most pressure situations, he was always patient. We remember Psycho fondly for all the work he did mentoring, teaching and coaching many of us. The impact he had on our lives is reflected in what many of us have become today. Rest in Peace, PSYCHO!
